Friends,
It’s a new day. A new week.
Maybe you woke up excited and ready to go, and maybe you wish you could climb back into bed? Maybe the world feels heavy, and maybe your heart is light.
Maybe you feel like you have an endless, impossible list to tackle and you are feeling the pressure of your responsibilities weighing you down, and maybe you woke up thanking God for the gift of a leisurely day.
Maybe you love your job, and maybe you’re ready for change.
Maybe you were up all night with a restless baby, and maybe you woke up to a quiet, still house, wondering how it can be that all of your babies are old enough to be out in the world on their own.
Maybe you feel weighed down by shame, wondering why you keep making the same mistakes over and over again, and maybe you are thanking God for the recovery and healing that has taken place in your life.
Maybe you woke up with a heavy blanket of grief covering you and all you want to do is spend the day releasing the waterfall of tears that cannot seem to be contained, and maybe you have learned to live with the memories and the grief, no longer debilitating, although still at times very painful.
We all woke up with something this morning.
Plans for our day. Hopes. Dreams. Broken hearts. Mending hearts. Grief. Fear. Acceptance. Restored relationships. Broken relationships. Depression. Anxiety. Security. Uncertainty. Peace. Joy. Tired. Energized. Content. Longing.
Whatever your story. Whatever your circumstance. Whatever you may be facing today. I pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to cover your heart. I pray you will be surrounded by loved ones. I pray your needs will be met in abundance. I pray you will know the love of God. Really. And truly know.
You. Are. Loved.
Deeply. Loved.
I pray you know that your circumstances, your struggles and whatever you may be facing today does not define you. I pray for strength if your heart is hurting. And for peace if you are feeling anxious. I pray for joy to flood your soul. And for your heart to be met with contentment.
I pray that whatever this day, or this week, may bring you and your loved ones – that you can face it knowing God has gone before you and knowing that He is with you every step of the way.
Truly Yours, Jen
